We are seeking a Scheduler to join the scheduling and planning team for Keolis Downer Northern Beaches operations which commenced bus services on the Northern Beaches and Lower North Shore in October 2021.

In addition to operating public bus services for Transport for NSW, Keolis Downer operates Keoride On Demand, which has been servicing customers in the northern part of the peninsula since 2017.



Purpose of the Role

Assist the planning & scheduling team in their daily missions. Help improve the planning & scheduling process.

Support the development of the bus services network in accordance with contractual requirements. Provide support in the form of analysis and insight into strategies underpinning the network and regular service changes.



Responsabilities :

  • Schedules Construction - As required, undertake core operationally focused scheduling work, including the construction of base period rosters and schedules (including day-specific, school vacation, and public holiday schedules)
  • Long-Term Schedules Planning – In conjunction with the Head of Scheduling, develop a cycle and forward timetable for scheduling reviews, implementation of Integrated Network Plans, and other major scheduling-related activities and projects, to reach an agreed understanding on major work priorities and deployment of resources
  • Reviewing and optimizing the production from timetabling to rostering for cost efficiency, considering the different constraints and conditions
  • Reviewing and analyzing running times to optimize KPI and network performance
  • Providing status reports, briefings, and advice to the Head of Scheduling and other parties on the progress of major schedules/network reviews and other work-project components, identifying progress, opportunities, issues, and solutions
  • Completing reports and monitoring KPI regime performance
  • Contributing to a high standard of customer service for internal and external clients to ensure quality management and risk mitigation
  • Contributing to a safe, diverse, and healthy work environment free from discrimination and harassment by working in accordance with legislative requirements
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, handle stress, conflict, and pressure in a positive way
  • Flexible approach to accept, manage and implement change
  • Working with other departments to improve operational performance 



  • Knowledge in the use of Hastus will be beneficial
