Senior Buyer Rolling stock Spare parts & services for Tramway Manufacturers F/M

The Purchasing function and all the Group’s suppliers play a major role in the quality and level of service offered by Keolis to its customers, but also to users of its networks. This is a function whose contribution is essential to maintaining and improving the Group’s competitiveness.




Fully master and develop the relationship with major tramways & metros "Manufacturers under his responsability in agreement with the purchasing CODIR

Understand the internal needs of subsidiaries and external constraints, in coordination with the category Manager and local reference buyers.

Use as a key lever the requested expertise of all the sub-functions, spare parts and services bought to those big players to optimise the TCO

Define and build the supplier development program including the introduction of major green innovations as well as energy saving solutions.

Pilote the obsolescence program with big players.

Ensure market intelligence within its scope and be a proposal force in terms of innovations.

Propose a 3-year purchase strategy with big players, with a detailed action plan to achieve significant savings by ensuring a high level of quality and delivery satisfaction.

Run tenders, provide support on customer bids and during mobilization phase.

Negotiate and sign contracts

Negotiate and contract framework agreements with suppliers selected to implement the strategy.

Lead the roll-out of the strategy on subsidiaries through the coordination with the Category Manager and the subsidiary buyers

  • Strong background with Alstom supplier on Rolling stock and services is explicitely requested. Ability to understand this big player and master a proper relashionship worldwide
  • Ability to generate business opportunities and implement them.
  • Knowledge of procurement tools and tendering process (RFI, RFQ,..)
  • Analysis and understanding of addressed markets: good supplier knowledge
  • Ability to conduct high stakes’ negotiations.
  • Good legal level allowing the establishment of national and international contracts in collaboration with the Legal Department
  • Ability to conduct financial analysis and build business models
  • Demonstrated experience in Functional Management and networking.
  • Knowledge of the public transport market is a plus
  • Experience in project management
  • Ability to work in a multicultural environment
  • Fluent English is essential
