This role will be integral to support the continued development of data and reporting capability within the E&M department, and across the wider business, in order to provide powerful data insights and visualisations, and support the business make data-driven decisions.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist the Asset Performance Engineer in service and asset reliability tracking by monitoring and analysing asset performance of the Dubai Metro.
- Proactively monitor and report E&M contractual and internal KPIs to ensure adherence, and highlight any deviations to support the business to implement appropriate actions or decisions.
- Proactively analyse available data sources to identify emerging patterns or trends, determine effectiveness of existing maintenance regime, and make appropriate recommendations to ensure continuous improvement.
- Prepare and present findings and recommendations to the business based on data analysis and modelling.
- Assist in the development of business cases to support strategic investment in systems, processes and/or solutions to enhance data and reporting capabilities.
- Support continuous improvements to working practices and processes to optimise efficiency and quality, and provide recommendations to streamline or improve.
- Review data to identify gaps, shortcomings or inefficiencies in quality and completeness, and propose appropriate solutions or recommendations to improve.
- Identify relevant data sources and sets to mine for business needs, and collect large structured and unstructured datasets and variables.
- Support production and delivery of cyclical and contractual reporting requirements in line with contractual timescales, incorporating stakeholder review and approvals.
- Develop and deliver data, analysis and reporting requirements, incorporating automation and dashboard developments to support data-driven decision making.
- Support development of key documents and procedures, incorporating data management plans, work instructions and training materials.
- Ensure there are no gaps, shortcomings or inefficiencies in quality and completeness, and propose appropriate solutions or recommendations to improve.
- Innovate and support new or evolving processes/products or for initiatives with cross-functional or organization-wide impact.
- Perform and carry out ad-hoc analysis and other duties as instructed/directed/agreed with the Asset Performance Engineer or Senior Management.
- Ensure security and integrity of all data provided including reporting performance, finance and customer information; reference Keolis-MHI non-disclosure policy.
- Report any accidents, incidents, breaches or potential breaches to appropriate management or the speak up process.
- To exercise personal duty of care for their own health, safety and welfare and for those affected by their acts or omissions; reference SMS GSOP-HSE1-6 Keolis-MHI organizational HSE responsibilities.
KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
- Extensive hands-on knowledge and application of data analysis and data modelling techniques and principles.
- Knowledge and experience of Microsoft Power BI, incorporating the development of dashboards and visualisations.
- Knowledge and application of statistical computer languages including SQL and Python.
- Knowledge and application of enterprise asset management systems, preferable IBM Maximo, or developed knowledge and understanding of big relational database models.

- Strong analytical and numerical skills to manage and interpret data with an ability to integrate, structure, and analyse large and complex datasets and sources to translate findings into compelling insights and proposals.
- Ability to understand complex systems and willingness to learn new software-based applications and ways of working.
- Advanced knowledge and application of SQL.
- Knowledge and application of Python.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel, including development of complex formulas.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI, with an ability to develop visualisations and dashboards, incorporating application of DAX.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with an ability to apply methodical and logical approach to make appropriate recommendations and/or implement appropriate solutions.

EXPERIENCE
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as a data analyst.
- Proven track record in development and application of data modelling, analysis and reporting techniques and principles.
- Knowledge and application of enterprise asset management systems, preferable IBM Maximo, or developed knowledge and understanding of big relational database models.
- Experienced knowledge and application of SQL in order to effectively extract and model data from multiple database tables and sources.
- Experience of statistical computer languages (e.g. Python, R, etc.) is beneficial.
- Experience of developing dashboards for end-user consumption.
- Experience of working in the rail or transport industry is beneficial.
EDUCATIONAL AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science or related field is beneficial.
- Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate or other appropriate Microsoft certification is preferable.
