We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced executive with a proven track record of providing vision and strategy for all data management activities.

 

As Chief Data Officer you will be responsible for developing and governing the collection, management, and storage of data across the Group and analyzing and deriving insights from data to drive business decisions.

 

This role will evolve data platforms and develop extended data capabilities including machine learning, applied AI, data science, data engineering, BI, and strategic analytics to drive continuous improvement.

 

In addition, you will provide vision and strategy for data initiatives across the Group and will be responsible for setting enterprise data strategy, governance, standards, and quality in collaboration with data stakeholders from across the Group.

 

Missions :

 

  • Define Group data strategy.
  • Partner with subsidiaries and key stakeholders to identify priority use case.
  • Manage external and internal data teams in a matrix organization.
  • Create and manage a community of experts and data enthusiasts.

 

 

Address legacy data issues:

  • Contribute to inventory Group’s data asset.
  • Audit compliance with respect to any regulations, especially privacy and data protection.
  • Ensure knowledge sharing, and data best practices between subsidiaries and business lines.

 

Establish governance and mindset:

  • Define, together with key stakeholders, roles and responsibilities related to data management.
  • Create a governance framework and steering committee, making it a strategic matter.
  • Collaborate with legal, operations, IT, compliance, and correct ownership of data.

 

Execute data strategy:

  • Sponsor and champion Group data strategies, data asset valuation and data P&L.
  • Guide the establishment of Group Data Roadmap and investments.
  • Conduct studies, negotiate partnerships, develop and implement practical solutions.

 

 

Profil : 

 

  • Master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, mathematics, or equivalent field.
  • 10+ years of experience in data management, product development and data governance.
  • Passionate and knowledgeable about data products, platforms, and the evolving landscape.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, capable of building enthusiastic support for new ideas and converting resistance to endorsement with robust collaboration with various stakeholders, leaders, and agile teams across the Group.
  • Ability to organize, launch and track initiatives.
  • Experience in attracting, developing, and mentoring diverse talent.
  • Fluent in both French and English.
